Getting Started
No! You can use all our PDF tools without creating an account.
PDFKinetic works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best experience and security.
Files up to 50MB can be processed. Since processing happens in your browser, larger files may take longer depending on your device's capabilities.
Yes! PDFKinetic is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. For the best experience with large files or complex operations, we recommend using a desktop or laptop.
Privacy & Security
We do not upload or store your files on our servers. All PDF processing is designed to happen locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Once your session ends, processed files are removed from browser memory.
Most PDF tools upload your files to their servers for processing, which poses security and privacy risks. PDFKinetic uses client-side processing, meaning your files stay on your device. This makes us faster, more secure, and completely private.
Your original and processed files remain only in your browser's memory during your session. Once you close the tab or navigate away, everything is automatically cleared. We don't store anything on our servers.
Yes! Since all processing happens locally in your browser, PDFKinetic is perfect for sensitive documents like legal contracts, medical records, financial statements, and confidential business documents.
Features & Tools
PDFKinetic offers 20+ tools including merge, split, compress, convert (to/from Word, Excel, JPG), rotate, reorder pages, add watermarks, password protection, form filling, OCR, and more. We're constantly adding new features based on user feedback.
Currently, we don't support direct text editing within PDFs. However, you can convert your PDF to Word format, make your edits, and convert it back to PDF. We're working on adding a full PDF editor in a future update.
Technical Support
First, try refreshing the page and attempting again. Make sure you're using the latest browser version. If the issue persists, your PDF might be corrupted or password-protected. Contact our support team with a description of the issue (not the file itself) and we'll help troubleshoot.
Processing speed depends on your device's CPU and RAM, your browser, and the file size. Large files (20MB+) may take a few minutes. Close other browser tabs and applications to free up resources.
Unfortunately, no. Since all processing happens locally in your browser, files and work are not saved if you close the tab. We recommend downloading your processed files immediately.
We love feedback! You can report bugs or request features by emailing support@PDFKinetic.com, joining our Discord community, or using the feedback button in the app. We review all submissions and prioritize based on user demand.
Compliance & Legal
Yes. PDFKinetic is a completely free service and may display third-party advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense, to help support development and maintenance. Advertisements do not affect file processing, and we never share your documents with advertisers.
PDFKinetic is designed with privacy in mind and follows data-minimization principles. We do not store user files and only collect minimal account information where applicable. Users may request data access or deletion at any time.
Yes! You can use PDFKinetic for commercial purposes. For enterprise solutions with API access, custom branding, and dedicated support, please contact our sales team.
